Junior Infants Trip to the Stables

Who needs a school tour when we are so lucky to have Mrs Cumiskey's stables across the road.
Junior Infants were fortunate to have Ava Watters on Work Experience just before the Halloween break and when the invite to visit the stables and meet some of the lodgers was put to us - We jump at the chance!

Ava gave us a tour of the stables and introduced us to Yates and Poppy. The children were so excited when Yates came clicking his hooves around the corner!

We learned all about the Connemara native pony and were shown his special green passport. We were also shown his saddle and bridle, together with his coat for winter and brushes to keep him looking smart!! Yates even showed the children his special trick - all it took was Ava to hold up an apple and he was all kisses!!!
Most importantly we all got a little pat of Yates!

Junior Infants will definitely remember this special day and we would like to thank Mrs Cumiskey and Ava very much for this opportunity.
