Science Week
November 2019

Picture
                Science Week 2019

For Science Week we did experiments in our school hall which we demonstrated to all the classes in our school. We wore special white laboratory coats.

We demonstrated experiments such as making volcanos, making an air powered car which blew us all away!

We also made lava lamps and slime.
We demonstrated how water is cleaned and we examined and handled animal organs and body parts including eyes, lungs, hearts and kidneys.
We used a stethoscope to listen to our hearts beating.
We learned about the Immune System also.

On Wednesday the 13th November we also had a science quiz in our local community centre which involved third, fourth, fifth and sixth classes.

We answered questions on Weather, Water, Botany, Biology, Physics and Chemistry.

All the classes really enjoyed the quiz.

Miss Flanagan’s class made volcanos some of which erupted to great effect!
Lots of activities took place in the other classes as well.

There was also a Big Science morning on Saturday the 16th in the Community Centre in Inniskeen.
