St. Daigh's National School sure do know how to finish a school year off in style! With many extra curricular days having to be put on hold over the past two years this was a lovely opportunity for the school and its community to celebrate completing a full academic year since the start of the pandemic without any interruptions.
On Tuesday 21st June 2022, St. Daigh's pupils and teachers, together with the community took part in a 5K run/walk. This was 'sweetly' finished with a bake sale which raised a whopping €1000 for the Irish Red Cross which will see the proceeds going to those suffering in Ukraine.

A special word of thanks to all who contributed and bought yummy treats for this great cause and for those who took park in the run.
